Therapy FAQs
-
I work most often with anxiety, depression, trauma, and difficult life transitions. I also have experience supporting people through disability and psychosocial disability, chronic health conditions, psychosis, critical incidents, and within the LGBTIQ+ community — so if things feel more complicated than "just anxiety," it's still likely a good fit.

Before your first full session, you'll have a brief consultation call to share a bit about what's bringing you to therapy and ask any questions — there's no pressure to commit. Your first full session is mostly about getting to know you: your history, what's going on for you right now, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. You set the pace.
-
My approach is trauma-informed, meaning sessions move at a pace that feels safe for you. Depending on what's useful, I draw on ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to work with patterns of thought and behaviour, along with somatic, body-based techniques.

Individual sessions are $180 for 50 minutes.

Yes to both. Private health extras cover can often be claimed depending on your fund and policy, and sessions can also be billed through NSW Victims Services for clients approved for counselling support as a victim of crime.

Yes. Everything you share is confidential, with a small number of legal exceptions I will explain at the start — for example, if there's a risk of harm to you or someone else.
-
For many people, yes. Telehealth can be just as effective as in-person sessions for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns, with the added benefit of fitting around work, or caring responsibilities. If you're unsure which format suits you, this is worth raising on your initial consultation call.

If you're in immediate danger, please call 000. If you need to talk to someone urgently, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14. Therapy isn't a crisis service, but I’m glad to help you think through the right next step.
Supervision FAQs
-
It's a regular, structured space to reflect on your casework, work through ethical or clinical dilemmas, and get support with complex or high-risk clients — separate from day-to-day caseload pressure. It's also often required for registration or accreditation.
-
Social workers and social work students at any career stage, across settings including community mental health, NGOs, aged care, community centres, and government agencies.

Clinical supervision focuses on case discussion, risk and ethical considerations, treatment planning, and skill development. Professional development supervision is broader — building confidence in your practice, working through career questions, and supporting your growth as a clinician over time. Sessions can draw on either, depending on what's most useful to you.
-
Both are available: individual supervision runs via video call, and group supervision is offered in person or via video call.
